+12: 180 Thinkers - Sir Timothy John ‘Tim’ Berners-Lee, is an English engineer and computer scientist and MIT professor credited with inventing the World Wide Web.
Think about that, ‘inventing the World Wide Web’. That’s one hell of an achievement. The ‘www’ has truly revolutionized all of our lives. We use it to do pretty much everything these days, even to read this blog. And it’s all thanks to Tim.
In his own words, “I just had to take the hypertext idea and connect it to the Transmission Control Protocol and domain name system ideas and — ta-da! — the World Wide Web.” That’s one hell of a – ta-da! – moment. Tim Berners-Lee is a genius and a true 180 Thinker. – Sean Thompson 180 Amsterdam
